殻からはずした身を細長くそいで天日にし、さらに打ち延ばしたものを「熨斗あわび」といいます。右肩に添えられた長六角形の紙に包まれた黄色いものです。

「本物のし袋　伊勢熨斗」は、伊勢志摩の海女が素潜りで獲った鮑を薄く剥き乾燥させた熨斗あわびを手漉き檀紙を折って作った、本格派の祝儀袋につけた全国で唯一本物の「熨斗袋」です。
